What kind of print jobs do we take on?

We will undertake to do all your very basic print jobs for you - things like business cards, stationary suites, simple posters and postcards - in order to complete this kind of work we use a company called printing.com - they offer an excellent product range and have very competitive prices. We also pass on any savings made directly to our clients and will only charge for design, layout and a small administration fee for checking the artwork with the printers. All their prices are available on a simple and informative web site. Check out the special offers on a regular basis - there are very often some real bargains to be had!

We do not undertake any print work that involves the creation of brochures, catalogues, newspaper and magazine adverts. We are simply not equipped to produce high end print design. Our creative director has done a great deal of this work in the past and he will be able to advise you on how to get this kind of work done and will help you with the art direction if that is necessary.

We will find professional printers that are capable of finishing any products you may require. It is always worth using a printer that has a studio run by staff that have been trained to use professional layout software such as Quark and the Adobe CS suite - if they don't, then be suspicious - if things go wrong with print it can be an annoying and extremely expensive business.

If you intend on using a great deal of photography you need the services of someone well versed in using Adobe Photoshop in order to get the best results from the printing process. If you intend to use photography we strongly recommend the use of a professional and qualified photographer - especially if you intend to create high-end print artefacts.

If you are looking for a company that will need to do a lot of print work for you then we are probably not your best bet. There are numerous printers in the South West of the UK who will be able to help you, but it is well worth your while to shop around and ALWAYS ask to see samples of work! You should certainly not choose your printer purely on the prices they offer you - get a sensible balance between price and the quality of the finished product.
